We are a student-run music studio in Zurich dedicated to providing the campus community with an affordable and professional space to create, record, and mix music. Our mission is to make music production accessible to all students. We offer a comfortable, acoustically treated control room
- Recording: Capture professional-quality audio for demos, podcasts, or full albums.
- Mixing & Mastering: Utilize industry-standard software and monitors to polish your tracks.
- Production: Work on beats, sound design, and electronic music using our MIDI controllers and synthesizers.
- Workshops: Attend free student-led workshops on topics like Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, and DJing
The Sound Lab is available for booking for all SOSETH members.
To get access:
Before you can use our labs, we first need to meet at UNG to take care of everything necessary. This includes, for example:
- Getting a key to the lab
- A brief introduction to the lab
Just write us an email to sound [at] sos.ethz.ch or write us through Instagram to get started. Please note that a reservation only makes sense once you have a key to the lab.

To reserve a time, you must have a booking account.

FAQ 💬
Do I need my own laptop or software?
Not at all! Our studio iMac has Logic Pro X, Ableton Live Suite, and Pro Tools installed and ready to go.
I’ve never recorded before. Is this for me?
Absolutely! We were all beginners once :)
