Sound Lab
What we offer
We are a student-run music studio in Zurich dedicated to providing the campus community with an affordable and professional space to create, record, and mix music. Our mission is to make music production accessible to all students. We offer a comfortable, acoustically treated control room.
- Recording: Capture professional-quality audio for demos, podcasts, or full albums.
- Mixing & mastering: Use industry-standard software and monitors to polish your tracks.
- Production: Work on beats, sound design, and electronic music using our MIDI controllers and synthesizers.
- Workshops: Attend free, student-led workshops on topics such as Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, and DJing.
The Sound Lab is available for booking by all SOSETH members.
Getting access
Before you can use the Sound Lab, we first need to meet at UNG to take care of everything necessary. This includes:
- getting a key to the Sound Lab
- a brief introduction to the studio

Booking a session
Once you have access, you need a booking account to make a reservation. You can then reserve a session on our booking page.
FAQ 💬
Do I need my own laptop or software?
Not at all! Our studio iMac has Logic Pro X, Ableton Live Suite, and Pro Tools installed and ready to go.
I have never recorded before. Is the Sound Lab for me?
Absolutely! We were all beginners once. :)
